  • Academic; My ‘brain on acid’ writing, where I create connection between art and science, heart and cognition, imagination and nature.
  • Poetry; From One Human to Anotherwas written at a time when there was a bio-tech conference at the Moscone Center in SF and, simultaneously, in response, there was a Reclaiming The Commons conference all over SF. I attended the RTC and a friend, journalist, was attending the Bio-Tech, so I found myself in the middle of these two seemingly opposing worlds. From that place I noticed that the friction was really the problem, the point of separation, and wrote this piece proverbially standing in the middle, looking at the whole picture of people trying to give. If we don’t take a side, but take all sides, it really shows the heart of humanity as one giant pulse.
