I was very, very impressed – it was so Clare, a down to earth, no nonsense, eloquent scholar. I listened intently to not only the enlightening content, but to your gifted ability to capture an audience’s attention. Again, the material, the exploration of sound energy, was very close to the things that I’m choosing to explore further in this Life. In short, your presentation was inspirational. Thank you again. Living In Your Center – How is it we make the right choices for our Souls Joy and Deeper Purpose?
This will be an experiential journey exploring the complexities involved in knowing who we are. Clare will introduce and examine with participants ways to read our own energy bodies and our emotional languaging to help us become our closest allies in this life journey. Making ‘right’ choices is the difference between a happy life, and one of feeling both lost and alone. There is an energy field in us waiting to be recognized and it will automatically activate and respond if we build a path to it of no compromise. It is a delicate learning process and one guaranteed to provide a successful, fulfilling relationship to both our own lives and the interconnected web of life and all its possibilities. There will be some exercises to take away from this process, based in sound and insight discoveries.

Applied Creativity: Living A Mad Life Of Sound!
Tonight Clare will share her expanding and healing journey in relationship to creativity. For her this is a meditation that inspires and creates intimacy and connection. She believes creativity, and our intelligence, comes from Nature and the Cosmos itself. The main area that has continued to show her the way is Sound. She will talk and demonstrate various aspects of how her discovery of Sound has transformed her understanding of life. She will also touch on how our spoken voices are a source of truth for us and how messages and belief systems are woven into our voices. This evening will be a mixture of sounding, singing and listening – Clare will perform, talk and share some group sound-play exercises to give the idea of how sound, expressed, can alter our consciousness.

Sound Spirit, Deep Listening:- Why does Creativity matter…and what’s it for?!?
Synopsis: Clare will share her creative and healing journey to Sound and Spirit. It began with a love of elemental Nature, as a child, and developed into a multi-disciplinary creative explosion, which she will share! She believes that healing, our intelligence and our liberation come from the creativity of Nature and Consciousness itself. She will track the opportunities for self-awareness and healing that creative disciplines can offer us, showing how finding our own path, our own voice, can transform our lives. She will also touch on the sentience of listening with our bodies and our psychic awareness. Clare will mix in performing, her personal sharing and facilitation of some simple group sounding exercises to give an idea of how using this discipline can alter our consciousness and lead us toward a more intimate, connected and inspired life!

Sound, Nature & Consciousness
Sound and vibration seem to be fundamental to the essence of life. It is that which gives us form in the womb, that shapes our bodies, that gives us the ability to feel and heal, and that imparts knowledge and information between us…and it can even hurt. It is the first sense to come alive and the last to die and enables the living Spirit of things to travel through time and space – crossing the species barrier. Two relatives of Sound are Silence and Music. This triad is worth exploring as it affects our lives, our collective intelligence and our creative imagination. Clare will share her thoughts on the possible implications of the current extinction trend of species, from the perspective of Sound, and ways that Sound could play a phenomenal part in assisting us as Earth changes.
This talk will then flow naturally into a meditative sound journey that will give people an opportunity to experience the spaciousness of Sound as it becomes music, born of the collective.
Clare Hedin is an accomplished singer/songwriter, healer, artist and researcher. Her passion is exploring Consciousness. From a child, she has been engaged with the natural world and the transformative power of that relationship, examining how the impulses of life can pass through us individually and collectively, emerging into both movement and form. There’s something about how we ‘show up’ that can uncover an anchor to life, really changing our perception of who we are and why we’re here.
Born in England, she lived for 20 years in San Francisco, completing a BA in Transformative Learning and an MA in Consciousness Studies at JFK University, 2004, with an emphasis in Music and Nature. She taught for five years at Sound Healing Center, San Francisco, ‘Voice as a Transformative Tool’, ‘Sounds in Nature and the Nature of Sound’ and ‘Psychoacoustics of Music Theory’ and was also a visiting musician at Oakland Children’s Hospital, experimenting with the use of her original music in the process of healing. She also works privately, using her technique ‘Voice Presence’. Although inter-disciplinary, her main emphasis for the past 15 years has been Sound and its effect on our Consciousness. Green Economics. A sustainable life. Exploring Consciousness in the realms of the Creative Collective.
How do we use our dedication to green living, social justice and environmental intelligence as a path of our evolutionary unfoldment? In this talk we will explore how spirituality relates to Creativity & Innovation in times of change and consider what intelligence really is, where it comes from and what it takes to work intelligently – using this talk’s definition – both individually and as part of a team. How do we collaborate in ways that promote the emergence of sound ideas and self-maintaining communities? What is the inner nourishment that we need in order to be a sustainable species?
I pose that; if the aim is sustainable living, then understanding our interdependence and how we are a contributing and emerging part of this living system will help us to identify the process of making ‘right choices’ as part of our social infrastructural and economic development.
“Our creativity and our social intelligence is not an indulgence to put to one side whilst we ‘sort out the important stuff’ – it is what the important stuff needs from us in order for us to better discover what’s possible. Understanding our dynamic flow is a wonderful place to begin growing a life where our approach is as organic as the food we wish to eat!”
Clare Hedin is a creative multi-media artist and teacher of many years. She has lived in San Francisco/Bay Area for 20 yrs, amongst communities of people dedicated to integrating conceptual ideals and technological wizardry and also in Glastonbury, Somerset, where the Earth is the teacher. She teaches both privately, experientially and academically (San Francisco State University, Management Department) looking at the intersections of different kinds of intelligence that both limit and expand our possibilities. To her all things are an opportunity for raising self-awareness and subsequently social intelligence with one key word in the forefront of all her thinking; kindness. Kindness to self; Kindness to other. To see more, read more and listen to some of her presentations and performances, please visit www.clarehedin.com.
